About Heenan’s

Since 1950, it has been our mission to offer only the highest quality products, impeccable style and most importantly, unrivaled customer service. As the oldest family-owned and operated furniture store in Oklahoma City, we take great pride in hand selecting each and every product that enters our showroom. While Heenan’s is known for offering the very best in interior design, fine furniture and innovative products, it is because of our customer service that people continue to shop with us for decades.

Heenan’s business philosophy simple, provide the best service to our customers by placing their needs first. This is the cornerstone that L.F. Heenan placed when he opened the doors in 1950 and it is the foundation on which this store is built. Our ultimate goal is turning houses into homes by creating a beautiful and livable space.

Heenan’s History

Heenan’s Home Furnishings was founded by L.F. Heenan in 1950 and was originally located on 9th and Broadway. He built the current store, located at the intersection of NW 63rd and NW Expressway, in 1966. By this time Heenan’s was established and well-known for carrying very fine, quality furniture; as well as having the best customer service in Oklahoma City. Upon opening the new location, a very prominent designer at the time, Norman Wilks, moved his offices next door. Moormans Carpet, one of the premium carpet stores in the city, quickly moved their store next door as well. This created a one-stop shopping area for customers, for many years to come.

Mr. Heenan passed away in 1975 and left the store to his wife, Eugenia. She successfully ran it for another 10 years, before selling it to Randy Bingham and Tom McGannon in 1986. Tom and Randy started working closely with many of the local designers, a practice which continues today and has contributed greatly to Heenan’s success.

In August of 2011, Amy Williamson, a longtime designer at Heenan’s, purchased the store from Tom McGannon, carrying on the Heenan’s legacy of excellence.
