Amy

Amy has been in the industry since graduating from the University of Oklahoma’s College of Architecture in 2001, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design. After working a brief stint at an architecture firm, she realized that wasn’t the place for her, as her true passion is interacting with people. She soon found herself at home working as a designer at Heenan’s and has been here ever since.

After a decade of working as a designer, the opportunity arose to purchase Heenan’s. Despite the fact that on her third day of ownership the roof fell in during a rainstorm, and the entire store flooded; she has loved every minute. “I love that my job is creative and that I get to interact with the design community and the public to help solve their design puzzles.”

She borrows her professional motto from the great Frank Lloyd Wright, “if you invest wisely in beauty it will remain with you all the days of your life”. This principle can be seen throughout the showroom, as every piece has a classic, timeless elegance. After all, it is Amy’s goal to offer Oklahoma City with the most unique, outstanding and treasured high-end pieces. “Good design is timeless, if you stick with the classic lines, you’ll be happy with it longer.”

Becky

Becky has over 20 years’ experience in both residential and commercial design. Since entering the world of interior design in 1991, when she received her bachelor degree from the University of Oklahoma, College of Architecture, she has worked in several different facets of the industry.
She started her career at Mathis Brothers as an accessory buyer and was responsible for setting the floor displays and merchandising showroom. After 13 years, she then moved to Maitland-Smith to be a sales representative for the southern markets. In 2010, she decided to come to work for Heenan’s, and she plans on staying until retirement! “I absolutely love my job. It contains the best elements from my previous experience, and lumps it all together into the perfect job. It’s fun and incredibly rewarding! It’s so gratifying when a customer calls and says ‘I love my room’!”

Becky believes that good design is personal, inspirational and fun. She’s coined the phrase “your house does not make a home, until you make it your own”. She suggests when starting a design project that you find that one piece of inspiration, and you can build from that.

Dallas

After ten interesting years in the furniture industry and a year-long hiatus in between, Dallas Bargas was convinced that Heenan’s Home Furnishings was the perfect fit for his experience and talents. Dallas joined Heenan’s in 2012 and is currently the Store Manager. His laid back personality and attention to detail make him a favorite with customers and employees alike.

Dallas began his furniture career in the warehouse at Mathis Brothers, but his charm and willingness to help quickly got him promoted to customer service. After spending a year in the service trenches, Dallas joined the floor display team where he worked for over four years before becoming the Floor Display Manager. Prior to leaving Mathis Brothers, Dallas had been named the Accessories Buyer where he not only purchased trending items, but he also maintained all inventories for the different lines.

Much to our good fortune, Dallas decided to put his talents to work in another industry but soon realized how much he missed the creative energy and customer interaction. Heenan’s did not hesitate to bring him on board and we are looking forward to many years of Dallas’ helping our customers. If you haven’t met Dallas, please stop by the showroom and introduce yourself.
